PET HOTEL TENANT IMPROVEMENT
Location: Redwood City, CA
Year: 2013

Architect: The Kastrop Group, Inc.
Structural Engineer: OAK Structural
Contractor:
E.A. Davidovits & Co., Inc.

Designing a luxury hotel for dogs and cats has its own challenges, but this project was also an exercise in urban design.  The building backs up to the busy Bayshore Freeway and the space had been vacant for many years in a neighborhood where the street was often lined with trailer homes and abandoned vehicles. The finished project not only meets the unique needs of the business, but has had a positive effect on the neighborhood as well.

Entering the building, you are greeted with an inviting reception area and lobby with visual connectivity to the adjacent play room for the dogs.  The pet hotel provides 3 tiers of boarding for canine pets, ranging from standard kennels to 200 square foot luxury suites with beds and a large TV for pet channels for doggie

entertainment & pet owners to Skype their pets. Great care was
